Short answer: create one product per wash tier, attach your add-ons to the tiers they belong to, set prices and tax, and put the best sellers first on the pay-station screen.
Steps
- Create a category called “Washes” (and “Detailing”, “Retail” if you sell them).
- Add a product for each tier: Basic, Deluxe, Ultimate. Give each a short name that fits on a button, a price, the tax group and a photo for the online store.
- Create a modifier set called “Add-ons” with tire shine, ceramic, interior and anything else you upsell, each with its price.
- Attach the modifier set to the tiers it belongs with. Interior add-ons can go on detailing products only.
- Mark which products are for sale online. Fleet-only items can stay off the store.
- Open the POS screen and check the order of the buttons. Put the tier you most want to sell where the thumb lands.
Tips from the lane
- Three or four tiers sell better than six.
- Price the club next to every tier on your board and at the pay station.
- Run a seasonal add-on (pollen, bugs, monsoon mud) and switch it off afterwards.
