One car through seven arches

Scroll, drag the scene or use the buttons to drive one car through the tunnel and see what the POS does at each arch.

  1. Plate read at the entrance

The camera reads the plate and sends it to the POS through the LPR integration. The car is matched to a customer and vehicle on file.

  2. Member? Gate opens.

Active club member: the wash is logged at no charge and the gate signal goes green. Past due: the attendant sees it and can update the card on the spot.

  3. Not a member? Sell the club.

The pay station shows today's wash price next to the monthly club price, so the upsell happens at the moment it is easiest to say yes.

  4. Package and add-ons on one ticket

Deluxe plus tire shine and ceramic: one tap each, one total, tax handled for your country.

  5. Paid in three taps

Card through your processor, cash, a gift card, loyalty points or a fleet account. Split payments when two people share the bill.

  6. Crew credited

Commission for the prep crew or the detailer is recorded against the sale, by person, for payroll.

  7. Numbers update before the dryer

Cars, members, revenue and add-on rate by hour and by site — on your phone while the car is still drying.

Car wash POS questions

How do unlimited wash memberships work in the POS?

Each member plan is a subscription with its own price and billing interval. When a customer joins, the POS stores the plan and the vehicle (plate) and creates the recurring invoices on schedule; the card on file is charged through your payment processor. Members are recognised at the gate by plate through your LPR integration, or by looking them up at the pay station.

Can one membership cover two cars?

Yes. Family plans link several vehicles to one paying customer at a price you set per extra car. Fleet plans do the same for companies, billed on an account with terms.

What happens when a member's card fails?

The renewal shows as unpaid against the member, the attendant sees “past due” on the next visit, and you can update the card or take payment at the pay station. Retries and dunning emails depend on your payment processor's features.

Does GetCarWashPOS include an LPR camera?

No. Licence-plate recognition runs on a camera and recognition service you choose; GetCarWashPOS receives the plate read through an integration (API) and answers with the member status. We help you connect it during onboarding and say on your demo which vendors we have connected so far.

Can I run a membership club without LPR?

Yes. Many washes start with plate look-up at the pay station, a windshield sticker number, or the member's phone number. LPR can be added later without changing your plans or member data.

How much does car wash POS software cost?

Bay starts at $39 a month per location, Tunnel at $89 and Network at $129 per site. Prices change with the country you pick (USD, AED with VAT, PKR), there is no setup fee for the POS and no contract. Annual billing gives two months free.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, 21 days on any plan with every feature switched on. You can import your menu and members during the trial and keep them when you subscribe.

Do you take a cut of card payments?

No. Card payments run through the processor you choose and its rates; GetCarWashPOS charges only the plan price.

How long does it take to go live?

Most washes can sell their first wash on the same day: about 30 minutes for the account, site and menu, longer if you have a large member list to import. Our onboarding desk does the import for free.

Will it work on the hardware I already have?

It runs in a web browser, so Windows PCs, Macs, Android and iPad tablets all work. Receipt printers, cash drawers and barcode scanners that work with a browser-based POS are supported; see the hardware guide for the list of types.
