Feature questions
What features does car wash POS software need?
At minimum: wash packages with add-ons, a fast checkout, customer and vehicle records, and reports. Express washes also need unlimited memberships with recurring billing and usually licence-plate recognition; detail shops need bookings with deposits; washes with business customers need fleet accounts on terms.
Are all features included in every plan?
Packages, checkout, fleet accounts, bookings, loyalty and gift cards are in every plan. Memberships, the LPR integration and staff commissions start with Tunnel; business-wide members and cross-site reporting are in Network.
Does it control my tunnel equipment?
No. GetCarWashPOS is the point of sale and the customer, membership and reporting system. Sending wash selections to a tunnel controller needs an integration with that controller; ask on your demo.
Is there an app?
The software runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Android tablets, iPads and phones, so there is nothing to install. A mobile app is available for the account owner's reporting.
Can I add features later?
Yes. Move from Bay to Tunnel or Network at any time; your products, customers and history stay as they are.
What about accounting?
Sales, expenses, purchases and payments are recorded in the POS with profit and loss reports; you can export them for your accountant. An accounting add-on is available — ask on your demo.
Which features need a third party?
Card payments (your processor), licence-plate cameras (your LPR vendor) and SMS or WhatsApp messages (your messaging provider). The site says so on each feature page.
