A car wash loyalty program that brings cars back

Not every driver wants a membership. Reward points on every wash and gift cards for holidays and fleets keep the non-members coming back — and both work online too.

Points or club?

Points reward people who wash two or three times a month without committing; the club wins when they wash four times or more. Offer points to everyone and show members what they would save — the POS has both.

  1. 1Points for occasional customers
  2. 2Club for frequent ones
  3. 3Gift cards for holidays and fleets

Loyalty & gift cards: the short answer

A car wash loyalty program gives customers points for each wash that they redeem for discounts or free washes. GetCarWashPOS has reward points built in — you set how many points each purchase earns and what they are worth — and sells gift cards as a payment method that can be redeemed at checkout.

A simple points rule

Example rule; you choose your own values.

How loyalty & gift cards works, step by step

The same order the software asks for it.

  1. Step 1

    Set the earn rate

Points per amount spent, a minimum order and an expiry period.

  2. Step 2

    Set the redeem value

What a point is worth and the minimum points to redeem.

  3. Step 3

    Sell gift cards

As products at the counter and in the online store, redeemed as a payment method.

  4. Step 4

    Watch the repeat rate

Customers with points, visits per customer, gift card balance outstanding.

What it won't do (so you can plan for it)

  • Gift cards are tracked inside the POS; third-party gift card networks are not integrated.
  • Points are tied to a customer record, so the customer needs to give a phone number or plate.

Loyalty & gift cards: questions

Do loyalty points work for car washes?

Yes, especially for customers who wash every couple of weeks and do not want a subscription. Points give them a reason to come back to you instead of the wash next door.

How do I set up reward points?

In settings, set the points earned per amount spent, the minimum order, what a point is worth when redeemed and when points expire. Points are added automatically to customers on each sale.

Can I sell gift cards online?

Yes. Gift cards are products in your catalogue, so they appear in the online store generated from your menu.

How are gift cards redeemed?

At checkout, choose the gift card payment method and enter the card number; the balance is reduced by the sale.

Can I run both a club and points?

Yes. Many washes give points to non-members and offer the club once a customer visits often enough to save money with it.

Are loyalty features included in every plan?

Yes, points and gift cards are in Bay, Tunnel and Network.

Can points be used at all my locations?

Yes. Customers belong to the business, so points earned at one site can be redeemed at another on the Network plan.

Do points expire?

Only if you set an expiry period. Most washes choose 6 or 12 months.
