How your data is handled
Encrypted in transit
Every page of the app and this website is served over HTTPS.
Nightly backups
Backups are taken every night and kept for 14 days, so a mistake can be rolled back.
No card numbers here
Card payments are handled by your payment processor. GetCarWashPOS records that a card payment happened, never the card number.
Roles and permissions
Decide who can discount, refund, see reports or export data. Staff use their own logins or PINs.
Activity trail
Sales, refunds, voids and discounts are recorded with the user who made them.
Export any time
Export customers, products and sales whenever you like, and for 30 days after you cancel.
Plates are data too
Licence plates are stored only on the vehicles you attach to customers; camera images stay with your LPR vendor.
Your part
- Give each person their own login or PIN; never share the owner login.
- Limit refunds, discounts and exports to managers.
- Post a privacy notice if you read licence plates, and say how long you keep visit history.
- Lock tablets with a passcode and sign out shared devices at shift end.

Where is my car wash data stored?
On servers managed by our team, with nightly backups. The data does not live on your tablets or PCs, so losing a device does not lose your data.
Does GetCarWashPOS store card numbers?
No. Card payments go through your payment processor; we record the payment, not the card. Card-industry compliance for card data sits with your processor.
Are you PCI, SOC 2 or ISO certified?
We do not claim any certification. Card data never reaches our servers because your processor handles it.
How long are backups kept?
14 days of nightly backups.
Can I delete a customer's data?
Yes. Staff with the right permission can delete or anonymise a customer record, for example when a member asks to be forgotten.
Who at GetCarWashPOS can see my data?
Only staff who need to for support, and only when you ask for help or when we must fix a problem with the service.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export it for 30 days; after that it is deleted from the live system and ages out of backups.
How do I report a security problem?
Email us using the button on this page. We acknowledge reports within business hours.
